Western Blot Analysis:
HeLa cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with anti-hnRNP K (1:2000 dilution).

Anti-hnRNP K, clone F45P9C7

Description:
Anti-hnRNP K, clone F45P9C7
Background Information:
hnRNP K (Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K) is a pre-mRNA binding protein. It is a component of hnRNP complexes that act as substrates for pre-mRNA processing prior to translation in the cytoplasm. hnRNP K is ubiquitously expressed in both the cytoplasm and the nucleus. hnRNP K acts as transcriptional regulator and functions in nucleocytoplasmic shuttling. hnRNP K is modified by phosphorylation (PKC δ, c-Src), methylation, and acetylation, and its expression and function are increased by epidermal growth factor (EGF).
Alternate Names:
  • Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K
  • HNRPK
  • TUNP
  • CSBP
  • FLJ41122
Clone:
clone F45P9C7
Specificity:
Antibody strongly detects a single band at ~62 kDa, corresponding to hnRNP K
Key Applications:
Western Blotting
Application Notes:
Western Blot Analysis: A 1:2000 dilution of this lot detected hnRNP K in HeLa cell lysate. Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
Species Reactivity:
Human
Species Reactivity Note:
Reacts with human.
Predicted to react with mouse, rat, chicken, and rabbit, due to sequence homology.
Isotype:
IgG1κ
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH derived from within residues 450 to the C-terminus of human hnRNP K
Epitope:
C-Terminus
Molecular Weight:
62 kDa
Control:
HeLa cell lysate
Presentation:
Mouse ascites IgG1k in buffer containing 0.05% sodium azide.
